I guess you guys saw where Bungie spilled the beans and the Beta characters/gear/vaults/stats are now wiped clean. Sorry to those of you who wanted to keep your stuff. I'm ok with it. I'll gladly play it over again and honestly - enjoy it more now that I know kinda what the *$&# I'm doing.  I just kinda wish they'd done the BETA closer to the launch. I think about wanting to play again at least once a day. At least. This thing - even just the BETA - has already hooked me pretty good. |

I think the whole beta carry over thing is a bit blown out of proportion based on perspective we had in the beta.
I suspect after a few hours with the full game people wont even remember what was in the vaults or on their beta characters.
I think they (Bungie) should have avoided giving folks legendary/exotic gear. I think that was the thing most folks were really flipping out about losing.

I don't understand why people thought it would carry over? Or the hate over the reset announcement?
Every beta I've ever taken part in has wiped all data clean before launch, and I thought it was just standard procedure...

Well, alot of the people are ...how do I say this..... 12 years old. That probably explains it. On another related note, I just saw a full blown melt down from Sony players b/c the new Tomb Raider is xbox only. I can't help but smh at the irony of a bunch of PS4 people ( on Bungie ) laughing at the xboxers for being all worked up about Destiny - and now PS4 players ( granted not on Bungie, but elsewhere - can't remember where I saw it - some PS forum ) are doing the exact same thing over the new TR. It doesn't matter which system you play on - PS or Box - if you're 12 or have the mentality of a 12 year old, you are apparently going to complain and whine and go nuts over any perceived "slight" when it comes to video games. These kids are gonna have a hard life if they get that worked up over a game. |
