I saw that - and I saw where they said you could safely "delete" the beta off your hard drive to save space. So, nothing is going to carry over. I'm ok with that. the beta wasn't really that much of a grind and I won't mind playing through that again. They said the leveling was faster in the beta too, so I can see how kids might get upset over levels 8-20 taking longer to flip over. Just make everyone start from the beginning and it won't be a shock at how long it takes to level.
PS - Doc this new font is so much smaller in the "quick reply box." Might be just me, but I can hardly see what I'm typing on my laptop. Can we increase the font size in this box just a little bit? Thank you. ( If not, I'll just CTRL-+ it )
EDIT: Ok, now in editing it's back to normal. Might have been just a glitch.

It doesn't look like character leveling was increased, that is speculation, however the xp bonuses were big. So it seems like player leveling was normal but they added bigger bonuses to bounties and such so you could lvl skills and weapons faster. And all the characters info is saved to the bungie servers so stuff still might be carried over. If you delete beta but check your bungie.net profile, your character's still there. I would still expect a wipe, but everything is speculation until Bungie says something themselves. |

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have assumed that "delete it, it's ok" meant it was wiped. With everyone looking for an answer to that question, I don't get why ( esp. now with the beta over ) they wouldn't let people know.
As for the leveling - ...does it matter how it was faster? XP bonuses being bigger or something else - I thought it was known that the leveling was faster in the beta than it will be in the full game? Not sure where I read that though - so you're probably right.

Yeah, I'm still hoping that some of the stuff carries over. I stashed all the level 9+ equipment I received in The Vaults just in case it would still be there come September.

Yeah, the fact that we can delete the beta files doesn't mean things can't carry over, as it is all stored server side. However, I actually hope nothing but the emblem stays, as I think building up your gear as you level your guardian is a lot of the fun.

SO say I wanted to wipe my character's stats and start over from the beginning? Do you guys think there will be a way to do that? Surely they'll include some option for that if the stats stay as they were for the beta.

I got some level 20 auto rifle that did 277 dmg that l stashed in the vault. Be pretty cool to have that to look fwd to!
