I thought it'd be nice to get to know each other before we get started on our quest to beat back the darkness. My real name is Jeff, but everyone calls me "Owl." I'm a 44 year old, married, no kids, fine art painter who lives in north Georgia, USA. I've been gaming since 1980 and my reflexes aren't what they used to be. Still, I can face-punch a Vandal, throw down a grenade and jump outta the way all within a second or so. I'm not the best at PVP - usually coming in the middle of the pack of randoms. My previous experience with similar games: Halo, Borderlands 1 & 2, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Fallout 3, and a few old FPS PC games. I've played alot more FPS than MMO type games. First video game I ever played was Space Invaders or Asteroids. They brought them into the pinball arcade the same day and I can't remember which one I went to first. That first quarter.....man, what a road it's led down. LOL My other hobbies besides gaming are fly fishing, kayaking and camping( from time to time). Until Destiny is out, I'll be grinding it out for a few more weeks in BF4. My name on PS4 is ( naturally ) "OwlRNothing" Nice to meet you guys. Let's hear about you!

I turned 44 in May, my name is Chad but my Doc nickname goes so far back no one calls me that on line. I used to write an online column about bicycle repair called "Ask Doctor Fat Tire" in the early modem days of the internet. The name just stuck. Now I produce events for the bicycle industry. B2B stuff. A true child of the 80's I was raised by coin slots and blueberry colored shag carpet glowing under black light. The voices in early games like Berserk were my mentors, and games like Robotron were my "Pat your head and rub your tummy challenge". One of my favorite PC games was Tribes and Destiny is really giving me that vibe. On the console side of things, I have been a hard core Rock Band player and gear modder. I helped pioneer using real drum kits with the game which is now a plug and play option. I still maintain a site for all that data here: docsrockbandmods.net/ and I also still moderate the official Rock Band Forums. The game turned me into a mediocre real drummer, and who would have thunk it all started with an evolution of Guitar Hero. Lots of quirky stuff on my YT channel. PSN - Doc_007 XBOX - DocSoCalHB

Hey guys, my names Julian, 30-something, married with two kids under 8.
I've been a gamer at heart since I got my sega master system 2 for Christmas when I was around 10, but I really got serious when I bought my brothers xbox and star wars kotor.
I dabble in PC gaming, mainly on SW: tor and ftl - even tried my hand at making mods for ftl - but the bulk of my time is spent on my 360 and xbone.
I live in Australia, and was a very active member in the push to get an R18+ rating for our videogames.
You can find me on xbox live with the same gamertag as my username.

Howdy folks! Names Todd, but most people call me Gryff. I'm 27, and a gamer of all types. My first game was defender, and I have since found myself addicted to everything from battle chess to minecraft. I made a name for myself in the online rhythm game scene a while back, and still have ddr as my guilty pleasure (I even built my own dance pads for it). I played a lot of call of duty 4, and a fair amount of halo, but destiny has grabbed my attention the way few games ever have. Looking forward to diving in!

Good morning, campers! I'm Ellie, Azure to folks who know me via Xbox Live, Twitter, or various forums. I'm one of those dorks who grew up on Nintendo & Power Rangers, though I graduated to a big girl console, the original Xbox, in the early 00's. I cut my teeth in system link & online in Halo, Splinter Cell, Crimson Skies, & Star Wars Battlefront before making the shift to mainly Rock Band & sequels in the 360 era. I burned out on competitive multiplayer sometime between Halo 3 & Halo Reach, but I'm always happy to lend a rifle in co-op, so Destiny is right in my ballpark! I'm a science dweeb with a penchant for flying, so nowadays you can find me in the skies above Los Santos in GTAV, bopping around Alaska in MS Flight, or caring for my pet Drivatar in Forza 5 when I'm not distracted by my real-world jobs & Youtube.

Thanks everyone for telling about yourselves. This is going to be a very cool group of people here. Even if I'm in it, too.

Jesus.
I'm 16. I could be your son. I feel young. You probably feel old.
My name is Bailey. I'm a 16 year old from England who is about to start a college course in 'Interactive Media and Games Desgin', as I think making the games I play so often is the one thing I will enjoy in life. That and Destiny. I was homeschooled most of my life, from 9 till now, which made me more mature (Or so I am told) so playing with you oldies (Don't beat me up because I said that. Please.) shouldn't be an issue. I've been gaming since Pokemon ruby, and the gamecube was my first proper console. Everybody who loves Super Mario Sunshine say 'I'.
I've been in quite a few gaming communities, but kicked out because of my age. Not straight away, but after a while. Once they found out I was 16 I was kicked out quicker than.... Something that was kicked out quick I suppose.
Now I reside on the Xbox One, waiting. For the one game to rule all games.
Halo 5.
But I'll be playing Destiny until then and after then, as it'll most likely be a flop.

I find mixing youth and speed with age and treachery to be the foundation for a killer team.

Hello All, Name is Rick, im 47. live in Va beach, Va. been gaming since my first game...pong then I graduated to a commodore 64 with the classic Ultima games. moved up the the NES, then the N64,sega genesis, and PS1. it was around then i built my first gaming PC. Then got a PS2, PS3, and now a PS4. I am also on my 4th or 5th Gaming PC (lost track of how many, i am old after all lol) I play a wide variety of games but i guess FPS and RPG games are my favorite since my first FPS game i played was goldeneye on N64. and first RPG game i played was ultima 1, been hooked ever since. Now, i will get this out of the way now. i mainly play FPS games on PC, have been for years. I think the Mouse and Keyboard is far superior to a controller, just my opinion. i really sucked with a controller in FPS games..the movement to me is just slow and robotic feeling..until i tried the Destiny Beta, Thought i would be so bad, but gave it a shot anyway because the game looked so damn good. I have to say the PS4 controller is A LOT better for FPS games than the previous controllers for PS. although im not a pro in this game, i can actually play the game very well, and i only got better the more i played the beta. I still wont try the PvP in Destiny until i get better, because i would be a detriment to any team and that wouldnt be fair to them. but as for the story, side missions, and strikes, i can more than hold my own in this game. Well, thats about it, look forward to putting many hours into this game with you all.

Ultima! Good times... It is a tough slog going from M&K to a console controller. It took me quite a while to get to where I am now... mediocre...

Although the mouse is more accurate, finding the keys when enemies are bearing down on you was always hard for me. I'd end up in a menu screen or jumping when I meant to crouch. I've had a controller in my hand since it was just a stick and one button - so I guess I'm just more used to that method of input. I fully expect, at 44 years old - to one day run across a controller or game system that I do not understand and cannot master. LOL Hey kid - as long as you're more mature than I am* - I don't think you'll have a problem here. *occasionally silly for laughs

Hello everyone.
My name is Josh. I am 25 years old. Married, no kids. I've been gaming since I was a kid.
I have a lot if experience with input on forums. I had the official fire guide on the sony forums for DCUO from launch until I stopped playing when I was medically discharged from the US Army. While playing DCUO I got into a clan/guild and we kept in touch through Facebook and we have been gaming together since.
Destiny I'm so pumped for, I'm known as finalvincent21 on the bungie forums. And @ingamehunters on twitter.
See you all in the wild.

Hello everyone, my name is Matt and I'm from Oklahoma but living in Japan. I have been a gamer since my dad hooked me onto DOS based word games and those pixel sprite games back in the late 80s. My first console was the SEGA Genesis, although I had always wanted a NES/SNES. Currently I have a Wii, 3DS, PS3, and a Vita. I plan on getting a PS4 but not until September, in other words the white Destiny one.
Anyways, hit me up on PSN: Euphoberger
